        Does this sound like you?

As you go through life, you can get pulled in several different directions. You wear many different hats without always being aware of all that you do every day. There is a precarious balance between work, school, family, adulting, and other responsibilities that can demand a significant amount of your time, energy, and focus. People influence you in your life about what decisions you make and how you should feel about situations you experience. You may have developed ways of coping that helped you through your life’s challenges, but they seem like they no longer fit with who you are now or the life you are building for yourself. You are relearning who you are and what that means for your life. You struggle to understand how to listen to and trust yourself. While other perspectives can be helpful to consider, there is a part of you that knows your voice should be the most important determining factor in shaping your life and striving towards your goals.

        Can Therapy Help?

Therapy is a valuable resource that provides support, comfort, and guidance, while also teaching essential skills in coping, regulation, and communication. Therapy is a collaborative process, as therapists are experts in mental health, and you are the expert about your own life. Therapy is a space dedicated solely to you, where you can process, explore, share, and feel all the things that you may not have the space to face in other areas of your life with a therapist committed to supporting you through both the ups and the downs.

        How can I help?

From my perspective, my role as a therapist is to help you learn to center yourself in your own life, align your choices with your values and goals, acquire skills to cope with challenges in life, and increase your ability to celebrate the wins along the way, no matter how “small” they may seem. I view therapy as a process where perfection is not the goal, but progress is.

My therapy space is curated to feel welcoming, safe, nonjudgmental, and open to anyone and everyone who wants to take a step in starting or continuing their mental health journey. My style of therapy is tailored to you, and the culture, history, experiences, and values that you bring are essential in informing the work that we do. I strive to bring authenticity, warmth, and sometimes humor to my role as a therapist. I look forward to learning about who you are, what has helped shape you into the person you are today, and where you want to go from here. In the process of learning about you, I will also help you discover your strengths. Everyone has strengths, and by acknowledging and embracing them, you can improve your ability to face the challenges and difficulties that can arise in life. Together, we can find ways to reduce the impact of traumatic experiences, insecurity, social pressure, doubt, depression, anxiety, guilt, grief, and other stressors in your life and put you back in the driver’s seat where you belong.

        When I'm not at Work

I am from a small town in Louisiana, but I have been enjoying life in Texas for the past several years while I completed my master’s degree, and now as I pursue my doctoral degree. I enjoy having game nights with my family, thrift shopping, singing karaoke, taking long drives, reading, and watching TV shows, from cooking and singing competitions to medical dramas and silly romantic comedies.
