Can Therapy Help?

If you have not been in therapy before, it can feel strange and sometimes scary to open up to a person you have never met. These feelings are normal and usually improve with time and building trust with your therapist. No one is meant to walk through the difficult parts of life alone. Therapy can offer a safe and supportive environment to heal, grow, and become the best version of yourself.

How I can help…

A quote that I have always treasured in my work as a therapist and in my personal life is that “we are all just walking each other home.” Whether home for you is a sense of safety, peace, or fulfillment, it is my honor and privilege to walk with you at any stage of your journey.

As a therapist, I truly believe that therapy is not a “one size fits all” form of care. We are all complex individuals, and it is my job to work with you to find an approach that will work best with your unique personality and history. You are the expert on you, so my role is to collaborate with you to ensure
therapy feels safe and productive for you. I value authenticity, transparency, and a little bit of humor when working with my clients. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical
Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Interpersonal Process Therapy
(IPT).

When I’m not at work…

I enjoy spending time with my friends and exploring local restaurants and activities. I also have some “nerd” tendencies which usually show up in the books I read, movies and shows I love, music I listen to, and video games I play. I am a proud cat owner of a little black cat named Luthien, though she seems to think she owns me.
