Does this sound like you?
You feel overwhelmed by your anxiety. Maybe your feelings are so intense sometimes that you’d rather not deal with them at all. You might find your thoughts spiraling or getting stuck in the same loops. You might wonder what’s wrong with you or why you can’t seem to get out of your own way. You might be tired of not understanding yourself, fighting with yourself, and feeling trapped in these patterns.
Maybe these things have started to impact your relationships with your family, friends, or partner. You might feel like a burden or constantly wonder what other people think of you. Maybe you’re so used to putting the needs of others before your own that you can’t imagine having the capacity to tend to your own needs.
Now you’re looking for a place where you can feel safe. Maybe you’ve had a hard time finding your voice or feeling confident about who you are. You’re yearning to be your authentic self and you just aren’t sure how to get there.
Can Therapy Help?
Therapy can absolutely help. If you’re reading this, you’ve already taken a huge step in your journey of healing. This process can at times be uncomfortable, difficult, or overwhelming (maybe that’s even what you’re feeling now), but it can also be empowering, exciting, thought-provoking, and lead to growth.
Therapy provides a safe space for you to say the things you need to get off your chest, to reflect on how other’s actions have impacted you, and to get curious about your emotions instead of trying to hide them or push them out of the way. Therapy can help you reframe your idea of what it is to be a human who can feel emotions, interact with others, and be kind to themselves. Therapy can give you tools to use in the moment when things become overwhelming or you can’t seem to get out of your own way. By embracing these insights and tools, you can cultivate a more fulfilling and balanced life, finding strength and joy in your journey!
How I can help…
My approach is centered on building a strong, trusting relationship from the start. In our sessions, we’ll work together to explore your anxiety, self criticism, anger, fear (and anything else that comes up) and develop strategies to manage its impact on your life. This could look like engaging in mindfulness practices, learning cognitive-behavioral techniques, or exploring deep emotional patterns that have roots in your past.
The therapy process is a collaborative one. Your insights and involvement are incredibly helpful and important. By openly sharing your experiences, you can help me better understand all of the things that make you who you are. I look forward to supporting you on your journey toward greater self-understanding!
When I’m not at work…
When I’m not at work, you can find me perfecting my sourdough or working on a crochet project. I love trying out new recipes or restaurants with my friends and taking my dog on walks while listening to an audiobook and shopping! A few of my favorite things of all time: the Twilight Saga, candles and matcha.
